Welcome to the City of Ceres
Your Health and Safety – Water and Sewer Needs
Our water and sewer systems must continue to be safe for residents. The quality of our local water supply is important to our community’s health and safety, as is the safe treatment and disposal of its sewage. The City takes proper, safe and healthful operation of both systems very seriously. Please click here to read more about actions being taken to protect your health and safety.

Ask Ceres opens City Hall 24/7
For those who want a more convenient way to contact City Hall, the City of Ceres has launched Ask Ceres, a web site that enables residents, businesses and visitors to access valuable city information and submit questions or service requests 24-hours a day, seven days a week.
Using Ask Ceres, citizens can enter a service request online at any time. Each request is automatically routed to the proper City employee based on the service topic that is selected. Ask Ceres lists dozens of topics to choose from, ranging from Animals to Zoning. Customers will receive a request number so they can monitor the status of their request, as well as a message informing them of the turnaround time to complete their request. The appropriate City staff member will review the request and will follow up with the resident directly. Try Ask Ceres today.
Mandatory Recycling
State law now requires that all businesses that generate four (4) cubic yards or more of waste per week and all apartment communities/multi-family housing complexes with five (5) or more units MUST Recycle. The regulations take effect on July 1, 2012.
Businesses that meet the threshold must arrange for recycling services. A letter is going out to the businesses and apartment complexes in Ceres explaining the requirements along with a questionnaire and a recycling poster. Click here for a copy of the informational letter. Click here for a copy of the recycling poster that may be duplicated.
Questionnaire
If you already have a recycling program in place, let the City know by completing the questionnaire. Click here for a copy of the questionnaire that you may print, fill-out and mail to the City of Ceres, Engineering Services Department, 2220 Magnolia Street, Ceres, CA 95307.
Alternatively, you may click here to fill out the questionnaire and submit on-line.
