The City's Solid Waste & Recycling Programs contracts with Bertolotti Disposal for solid waste and recycling collection. They also help keep the city clean with the Bulky Item Pick-Up and Leaf and Limb Programs to make sure that solid waste is collected, appropriate materials are recycled.
State law now requires that all businesses that generate four (4) cubic yards or more of waste per week and all apartment communities/multi-family housing complexes with five (5) or more units MUST Recycle. The regulations take into effect on July 1, 2012.

Businesses that meet the threshold must arrange for recycling services. A letter is going out to the businesses and apartment complexes in Ceres explaining the requirements along with a questionnaire and a recycling poster.
