BLOOD DONATIONS ARE BEING ACCEPTED IN Ceres, Ca* Ceres Police Department is asking the public to help by donating blood for Officer Sam Ryno who was injured during a shootout with an armed suspect Sunday evening. An account is set up at Delta Blood Bank under account number G92. Anyone who wishes to give blood to help Officer Ryno is asked to go to a local Delta Blood Bank location and donate in his name. There are Delta Blood Bank locations in Ceres, Turlock, and Modesto. For information about their hours of operation please call (209) 538-5990. Officer Ryno remains in the intensive care unit at a local hospital and is listed in serious condition. He has been awake, talking, and has been able to be visited by close friends and family. Considering all of the circumstances, he is in good spirits. He originally lost a substantial amount of blood and that is why we are asking the public to help with blood donations. The funds that have been set up are also available for people who wish to donate financially. There are many costs that both families will have to incur over the next season of time to accommodate relatives from out town, leave from work, and other related issues. The memorial fund for Sergeant Stevenson and the assistance fund for Officer Ryno are both set up at West America Bank in their names. The bank has branches in Ceres, Turlock, Oakdale, and Modesto. Donations can be made at any of their local branches. For hours of operation please call the Ceres Branch at (209) 556-1120. For information regarding this press release please contact Sheriff's Spokesman Jason Woodman (209) 606-8289. |
