School Resource Officers

School Resource Officers are sworn Ceres Police Department officers who are responsible for safety and crime prevention in the Ceres schools. Our SROs work closely with School administrators in an effort to create a safer environment for both students and staff. The responsibilities of SROs are similar to regular police officers in that they have the ability to make arrests, respond to calls for service, and document incidents. In addition, our SROs take on other duties, including mentoring and conducting presentations on youth-related issues.

Ceres Police Department currently has four SROs assigned to the Ceres Unified School District:

  • SRO Lorenzo Beltran
  • SRO Kevin Sakasegawa
  • SRO Kao Saechao
  • SRO Gloria Blakeslee

Our School Resource Officers are overseen by Administrative Sergeant Keith Griebel.
