About Treasurer Martinez
Kayla Martinez was born in Santa Clara County but moved to Ceres with her family when she was five years old. She attended Sam Vaughn Elementary from kindergarten to 6th grade. She was an active participant in community sports such as cheering for the Ceres Falcons as well as taking dance classes at Ceres Foot Notes Dance Studio.
Her family moved to the Modesto area for her high school years but as soon as Kayla decided to start a family, there was no other choice than moving back to Ceres to buy a home and raise her children. Her children now attend local Ceres schools and participate in local sporting activities such as the Ceres Wrestling Club and Ceres Youth Baseball.
Kayla was elected in November 2020 to serve as Ceres City Treasurer. She believes with her commitment to the city, her Bachelors from CSU Stanislaus, and her background as a Branch Manager with The Plus Group she can best support the needs of the city.
