The City of Ceres and Ceres Police Department will celebrate their Centennial during 2018. The year will be filled with fun and festivities as we look back 100 years and look forward to our City and Department's future.
The Centennial Badge:
The Officers at the Police Department have each purchased a special Centennial Badge that will be worn for the duration of 2018. The badge was designed by Sgt. Greg Yotsuya and approved by the entire Administrative Team. The seven pointed star in the middle is reminiscent of the badge that was worn in 1918 by our first Marshall. When you see an Officer, make sure you ask to see their centennial badge!
The Annual Report:
The Chief's Annual Report for 2018 will focus on the history of the Ceres Police Department. Working with the Department Historian, Sgt. Jason Coley, we plan to produce a document that shows how the Department has grown and changed over the past 100 years. Be sure to check the website in the Spring of 2019 for the finished product.
